Rosa Portugal
Rosa Aurora
Branco Estremoz
Estremoz Creme
- Density: ~2710 kg/m3
- Water absorption: 0.05% (almost zero)
- Open porosity: about 0.20% (very dense stone)
- Compressive strength: ~74 MPa (740 kg/cm²)
- Bending strength: ~15 MPa
- Impact strength: ~50 cm (according to the ball drop test – quite a viscous stone)
- Wear resistance: 2.6–3.4 mm (depending on cutting direction and type of load)
- Mineralogy: ~98% calcite, quartz impurities <1%
- Resistance to chemical reagents: good for marble (not afraid of weak acids, but like all calcite, can be etched by strong acid - protective impregnation for kitchen surfaces is recommended)
Rosa Aurora
- Density: ~2710 kg/m3
- Water absorption: 0.10% (within the norm for dense marble)
- Compressive strength: ~75–93 MPa (depending on cutting direction and vein content)
- Bending strength: ~14–15 MPa
- Porosity: ~0.2% (minimum)
- Wear resistance: ~3 mm (practically does not wear out indoors)
- Frost resistance: conditionally frost-resistant (for outdoor work, impregnation is recommended to avoid microcracks when water freezes in the pores)
Branco Estremoz
- Density: ~2710–2711 kg/m3
- Water absorption: 0.07% (practically does not absorb water)
- Open porosity: ~0.18%
- Compressive strength: ~94 MPa (960 kg/cm²); after freezing cycles ~75 MPa, which indicates high frost resistance
- Bending strength: ~14–27 MPa (depending on the sample)
- Wear resistance (according to abrasion test): 3.4 mm (high abrasion resistance)
- Mineralogical composition: ~99% calcite (high homogeneity)
Estremoz Creme
- Density: ~2720 kg/m3 (slightly higher than pure white marble, due to impurities)
- Water absorption: ~0.07–0.10% (very low)
- Open porosity: ~0.20%
- Compressive strength: ~86–93 MPa (850–950 kg/cm²), after freezing cycle ~78 MPa – frost resistance confirmed
- Bending strength: ~14–18 MPa
- Wear resistance: 2.2–3.4 mm according to the Boe hme test (sufficiently resistant to abrasion)
- Colour fastness: does not fade in the sun, suitable for outdoor use (retains colour for years)
